Hairstylist

Hairstylists don’t need to hold certificates for hairdressing to practise in Cameroon. They are only expected to master the best skills to offer the right services.

Barber

Barbers only need to complete high school to become professionals in the country. They don’t need any license to work as professionals as long as they are skilled in men’s grooming.

Massage Therapist

Massage therapists are able to practise in the country without further education or licenses. Skills are important, however, in making sure they provide the best services.

Makeup Artist

Makeup artists are also not regulated in the country. High school graduates without certificates are able to practise as makeup artists and enjoy earning.

Waxing Technician / Facialist / Lash Technician / Spray Tanning Technician

Estheticians or cosmetologists are also called waxing techs, facialists, lash techs and spray tanning techs. Since Cameroon has no licenses for these professions, anyone is welcome in the industry as long as they have the skills.

Nail Technician

Nail techs are only expected to master the skills and finish high school to practise. Licenses are not mandatory in the country.
