Non-Regulated Beauty Services in Liberia
Nail Technician
Nail technicians are able to start giving services after high school. They are only required the skills to practise nail services aside from high school education.
Hairstylist
Hairstylists in the country have no requirements to meet because they are unregulated. Individuals can practise and become experts in hair through experience.
Facialist / Spray Tanning Technician / Lash Technician / Waxing Technician
Beauticians or estheticians cover these services and can get one license. Since the country has no rules for them, all skilled individuals can explore jobs in beauty with no license needed.
Barber
Barbers can practise services in men’s grooming without any license. They have no rules to follow as professionals, so anyone skilled can be a barber.
Makeup Artist
Makeup artists can start their income journeys after completing high school. They don’t need a license to work as skilled professionals.
Massage Therapist
Having a certificate in massage is not necessary in Liberia. Skills are what the industry needs from practitioners.
