Mozambique

Mozambique is not requiring beauticians to own licenses to work. It only expects practitioners to get skilled and have the right attitude towards work.

Non-Regulated Beauty Services in Mozambique

Hairstylist

Hairstylists can either have diplomas/certificates or not to work. The industry is unregulated, and practitioners are only required to possess the skills.

Barber

Barbers are able to provide services to the public without a license. They just need to possess the appropriate skills to ensure quality client services.

Waxing Technician / Spray Tanning Technician / Lash Technician / Facialist

These beauty professions or services are considered under the scope of beauty therapy. These therapists are unregulated, so they don’t need a license in the industry.

Massage Therapist

Massage therapists don’t need to be licensed in the country to practise. Both high school graduates and degree holders can become professional massage therapists as Mozambique has no beauty licensing laws.

Makeup Artist

Makeup artists can also quickly earn in the country as they have no licensing laws. The country allows anyone with skills to offer makeup services to the public.

Nail Technician

Nail techs can work as practitioners as long as they are skilled. There are no formal requirements for them, so anyone interested can earn as a nail technician.
