Non-Regulated Beauty Services in Uganda
Massage Therapist
High school graduates can quickly become massage therapists in Uganda. They only need to learn the right skills to practise massage therapy.
Facialist / Spray Tanning Technician / Lash Technician / Waxing Technician
Estheticians and cosmetologists offer these services to clients. But anyone can provide beauty services to the public in Uganda because the country is unregulated.
Makeup Artist
Makeup artists are also free of required licenses or certifications. They don’t have regulations for offering professional services to the public.
Hairstylist
Hairstylists in the country can quickly become professionals. They are unregulated, so owning a license to work is not necessary.
Barber
Barbers also don’t need a license to earn as professionals in Uganda. They can train, however, at any school to master the proper skills.
Nail Technician
Nail techs can be certified or not in the country. Formal requirements are not implemented for the profession, so skilled individuals can become nail techs anytime.
