Croatia
Croatia is another country in Europe that doesn’t regulate its beauty industry. Beauticians only need the proper skills to practice different services in the country.

Hairstylist
Hairstylists don’t need a professional certification to earn in Croatia. High school graduates can pursue the profession and are not required any further education.
Massage Therapist
Massage therapists only need to be high school graduates to work in the country. However, professionals with certifications or who have a bachelor’s degree may have higher rates.
Barber
Barbers can earn and provide services without needing a license. Those who are professionally certified are paid higher, however, than those who only finish high school.
Nail Technician
Like the above professions, nail techs are also unregulated, allowing high school graduates to practice. Certified nail techs, however, can earn higher than those without certifications.
Facialist / Lash Technician / Spray Tanning Technician / Makeup Artist / Waxing Technician
These services are considered under the scope of cosmetology or esthetics in many places. But they can also have separate licenses or certifications. In Croatia, however, they are unregulated. High school graduates can already work as estheticians or cosmetologist.
