Non-Regulated Beauty Services in Netherlands
Makeup Artist / Waxing Technician / Lash Technician / Facialist / Spray Tanning Technician
These are all beauty areas that can have a cosmetology or esthetics license in many countries. Some even offer a separate license for each profession. In the Netherlands, however, these are unregulated, so practitioners can choose their training and don’t need to have a license.
Massage Therapist
Massage therapists are also not regulated in the country. They can enrol in any training program to become skilled.
Hairstylist
Both high school graduates and certified individuals can work as hairstylists. They differ only in salary as certified practitioners are offered higher rates.
Nail Technician
Nail techs are also called manicurists or pedicurists and offer different nail services, such as nail art and extensions. The Netherlands doesn’t have licensing laws for this profession, so practitioners don’t need a license.
Barber
Barbers are also another profession that doesn’t have licensing regulations. Aspirants just need to get skilled through professional training.
