Barber

Barbers are free to explore the industry without securing a license. High school graduates and certified professionals can both earn as barbers.

Hairstylist

Professionals in the hair industry only need to be high school graduates to serve clients. Further education is voluntary, so certifications or licenses are not required.

Lash Technician / Facialist / Waxing Technician / Makeup Artist / Spray Tanning Technician

These services are typically offered in separate licenses or under esthetics or cosmetology. In Slovakia, however, these are not regulated, so anyone without a license can practice.

Massage Therapist

High school graduates and those with further education can offer services in massage therapy free of any license. The country doesn’t have regulations yet for this profession.

Nail Technician

Nail techs are also not required to secure a license in Slovakia. They can enjoy pursuing a career in nails as long as they are professionally skilled.
