Switzerland

Switzerland is one of the many places in the world that doesn’t have regulations for professional beauticians. It doesn’t require practitioners to be licensed to serve clients.

Non-Regulated Beauty Services in Switzerland

Hairstylist

Hairstylists do hair services, and they are not regulated in Switzerland. High school graduates can provide services and are not required to be licensed.

Spray Tanning Technician / Facialist / Waxing Technician / Makeup Artist / Lash Technician

Estheticians or skin care specialists typically offer these services. But the country doesn’t regulate this profession, so anyone interested in any of these services can practice. All they need is the proper skills.

Nail Technician

Nail technicians are also not required to be licensed or certified. High school graduates with skills can already earn, but certified practitioners have a higher income.

Barber

Barbers are only expected to be high school graduates to work in the industry. They have the option to get certified, however, to get higher rates.

Massage Therapist

The minimum requirement for massage therapists in the country is only high school education. Switzerland doesn’t demand a license from practitioners, so anyone skilled in massage can work in the country.
