Non-Regulated Beauty Services in Samoa

Lash Technician / Waxing Technician / Spray Tanning Technician / Facialist

Practitioners don’t need to be college graduates to become beauty therapists in Samoa. The country only requires skills and at least high school completion to get started in beauty.

Hairstylist

Hairstylists with or without training qualifications are welcome to offer services. They have no licensing laws to follow in the country.

Barber

Barbers can train professionally or not as they are not regulated. Licenses are not mandatory for practising barbers, allowing skilled workers without qualifications to explore job options.

Nail Technician

Nail technicians can become recognised professionals in Samoa even after high school once they develop the required skills. The country isn’t regulated in nails, so licenses are not required.

Massage Therapist

Massage therapists may have training certificates or diplomas or not. The industry doesn’t demand licenses or any equivalent qualification from practitioners.

Makeup Artist

Makeup artists are also not required to be licensed practitioners. They only need to complete at least high school and possess the appropriate skills.
