Belize only regulates very few beauty professions. Most of the services have no licensing rules, so many aspirants can enter the beauty industry without licenses.

Makeup Artist

Makeup artists in Belize can start their careers after completing high school. They can pursue further education, but it’s not a requirement.

Nail Technician

Nail techs are free of licensing requirements in the country. They can have professional certificates or not to work as nail experts.

Lash Technician / Waxing Technician / Facialist / Spray Tanning Technician

Lash services, waxing, facials and spray tanning can be under esthetics and cosmetology areas. Since the country has no licensing laws for these, anyone can earn as a beautician without needing a certificate or any license.

Massage Therapist

Massage therapists can either be well-trained or not to work in the industry. High school graduates can already earn as professionals. However, professional training is still important in massage.
