Grenada released its Code SRO 46 last December 2022 regulating beauticians in the country. It requires professionals in beauty and wellness to be registered and licensed practitioners.

Regulated Beauty Services in Grenada

Barber / Hairstylist / Nail Technician / Massage Therapist

An article reports that the Code specifies masseuses, tattoo artists, nail technicians (including manicurists and pedicurists), barbers and hairdressers are covered under the said law. These professionals should be registered and licensed in the country and must be knowledgeable and skilled to practice.

The Grenada National Training Agency is a government-recognised institution that offers a certification for beauticians. More information about their Level 2 Cosmetology is found here:

Makeup Artist / Spray Tanning Technician / Facialist / Lash Technician / Waxing Technician

For the rest of the professionals on this list, they are still covered under the Code. Although the law only specifies several beauticians, it also indicates that it’s for all practitioners in the beauty industry. All services under beauty and wellness should be nationally recognised.
