They can also get permits to practice lash artistry, makeup and brow threading. To get a permit, estheticians must finish a sanitation course approved by the board and pay the fee. For lash artistry, individuals must complete an approved lash extension course.
Cosmetology also covers makeup, facials, waxing and lash extensions. It is only up to the individual to choose the license they want to get.
Nail Technician
Nail techs in the state must graduate from a course with 600 training hours and should pass the examination.
Barber
Barbering is a specialised skill for men’s hair and grooming. Individuals interested in the profession must complete 1,500 training hours to take the licensure exam.
Massage Therapist
Massage therapists are required to complete 600 training hours and must pass any examination facilitated by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork or other approved institutions. The MBLEx is the most widespread examination recognised in many states.

Spray tanning in Kentucky is not regulated. This means interested individuals can provide a service in the industry without a license. They just need to get trained and certified by a course provider.
