For cosmetologists, they can become licensed cosmetologists or senior cosmetologists. Cosmetologists must finish 1,500 training hours or 24 months of apprenticeship learning. Senior cosmetologists are expected to complete 2 years of work experience as licensed cosmetologists to qualify for the exam.
Estheticians are required to graduate from a 600-hour training course or 6 months of apprenticeship with 30 work hours a week.
