Be earning in Beauty in Time for Christmas!

I’m not sure about you, but I’m feeling the pinch this year. Christmas Presents, decorations, big family dinners, and all the trimmings on the side are looking like an enviable, distant dream. A nice donation into my family coffers would go down a real treat right now…

…Which is not so far from possible. Don’t worry, we’re not offering a story that your distant uncle left you millions in life insurance at the most useful time of year. It’s not gonna happen.

But, we are saying that you could probably be earning a lot more, right in time for Christmas.

The answer to your money woes (if you hadn’t guessed it yet) is beauty. Beauty Therapy, the bustling industry of visionaries and creatives, is the perfect way to cushion your christmas spending.

The Real Question is…How?

Well, you make a valid point. We’re at T-minus 2 months till Christmas, and that barely seems like enough time to get our brows in order, let alone begin a whole beauty career from nothing! Well, we’re not going to leave you hanging any longer. Below are the very real steps you need to make your start come Christmas.

Step 1: Choose your Specialty

Beauty is a big industry. It encompasses a vast array of services, ranging from aromatherapy & massage therapy straight through to Makeup Artistry. Beauty School course structures provide training in: Nail Technology, Massage Therapy, Lash & Brow Services, Waxing Services, Makeup Artistry, and Facial Treatments. If beauty therapists want to specialise in a niche area post study, they are able to choose from post-certification courses to upskill and ensure their professional development.

The quickest specialty to gain skills and certification in?

Manicures & Pedicures, and Waxing courses are the quickest certifications. You can realistically achieve your results in as little as 4-6 weeks!

Step 2: Training

This is the real clincher. The part that no one is quite sure they’d be able pull off in under 2 months. But, if you find yourself a good quality short course, this is exactly what you’ll be able to do. At Beauty Courses Online, we know a little about beauty courses. We’ve tailored our training to you, to be completed as quickly or as slow as you need. It’s a lifetime access – but what does this mean for our Christmas Deadline?.

It’s well in hand. Especially if you choose to study either our Face & Body Waxing course, or the Manicure & Pedicure course.

Although all of our short courses can be completed by the Christmas Deadline, waxing and manicures/pedicures are the easiest to learn. So, your technique can stand confident. You won’t need to stress over whether you have the techniques in your muscle memory yet!

Step 3: Volunteers

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Volunteer student clients are the best and quickest way to build up your customer base. During your studies, you will need to invite your friends and family members to let you practice on them. Most will be more than happy to let you, because hey – they’re getting a free beauty treatment. From a good student, it’s never a bad thing!

And, if your volunteer client base starts widening, you can offer them a deal: Those that let you practice on them now, will get a 50% discount on their first service once you’re in-salon. Use it as a marketing opportunity. We promise – it’ll save you time and money in the long run!

Step 4: Choose your Own Adventure

Now we get down to it. You’re working through your training, and nearly certified. Now’s the time to think about your work opportunities. Where do you want to work? From home? Or in a fully fledged salon?

If you’re studying online, you’ll likely have purchased the necessary equipment to complete your services. So, starting your work from home won’t require much more start up capital. Especially if you are giving your friends and family quality holiday manicures for a discount on salon prices! You’ll have to beat the customers away with a stick (Please…don’t actually start beating your customers with a stick. It’s a turn of phrase, not a suggestion).

But, if you would prefer to work at a salon, Christmas is a busy time. You’ll have no shortage of salons asking for beauty technicians to join their team over the holidays. But, the pay won’t be as good. Which, while you’ll have a steady stream of clients, you may find tedious – especially over the holidays when there’s always so much more to do!

Do you Believe us Now?

We know it sounds far-fetched. But we promise: This is achievable. There’s nothing (except maybe cynicism) stopping you from working in beauty by the time we carve the turkey this year.
